Janet runs the shop most days, handles special orders, and a variety of ceramic and plaster repairs. She has been a ceramist for over 40 years and can repair just about anything. She also does custom painting, and with her husband can make you custom sculptures and molds.
Heather is the backbone of "The Happy Place." She runs the shop on Sundays and does all of the pouring and de-molding, if you are looking for something specific to glaze or paint, Heather is the one to ask!
Bill, Heather's husband, is the muscle of the place. He makes all of our slip (liquid clay) that we use to make the pieces on the shelves! He also make all of our repairs around the shop. Bill and Heather have worked tirelessly since day one to make us a success. We could not do it without them!!!
Mae Lynn teaches our classes here. She has been a certified award winning ceramist for many years. She has owned her own shop, and along with her partner, Tracy, teaches classes in the studio two days a week. Classes are Tuesday, 10am-2pm, and Thursday, 12pm-3pm. Each class is open studio styled - you pick the piece and they will give you as much instruction as you need.
